Michael Toler is the Content Manager of Archnet.org in the Aga Khan Documentation Center of the MIT Libraries, Cambridge, Massachusetts in the US. He holds a PhD in comparative literature and translation studies. Dr. Toler has written and lectured extensively on topics relating to culture, memory and pluralism.
He is passionate about the radical potential for Digital Humanities, and has spent the last 25 years developing and facilitating digital humanities projects intended to foster deeper and more nuanced understandings between “Western” and “Islamic” cultures and societies. Michael is secretary of the Tangier American Legation, which celebrates its bicentennial this year.
