Ousman Mahamat Abba lectures in the Department of Heritage, Historical and Archaelogical Sciences of the University of Maroua (Cameroon) and is an expert at the Division of Culture and Communication of ICESCO (Rabat). He is the former director of the National Museum of Yaounde (Cameroon). He was trained in conservation-restoration of heritage during a session organized in 2019 by the new Museum of the Bamoun Kings’ Palace in Foumban, in collaboration with the Rietberg Museum (Zurich, Switzerland), in 2018 at the Central Academy of the Chinese Cultural Administration in Beijing, and in 2017 he followed training regarding the UNESCO Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict (The Hague, 1954) and the World Heritage Convention (1972). He is the author of several scientific articles regarding cultural heritage, museums and cultural tourism.
