Mr. Driss El Yazami is presently president of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad and of Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Defenders of Human Rights (FEMDH). The former president of the National Council for Human Rights (CNDH), prior to that position, he had been a member of the Advisory Council for Human Rights CCDH), of the Equity and Reconciliation Commission (IER), and 2011, a member of the Advisory Committee for the Constitution Revision. In France, he was Delegate General “Génériques”, a French organization with a focus on the history of foreigners and immigration, chief editor of the “Migrance” journal and co-writer of the report on the creation of a museum of the historiy of immigration in France, for the Primer Minister Lionel Jospin. The former vice-president of the French League of Human Rights (LDH) and former member of the Executive Committee of the Euro-Mediterranean network for Human Rights, El Yazami was Secretary General of the International Federation of Leagues for Human Rights and a member of the Board and Steering committee of the “Cité Nationale de l’histoire de l’immigration en France”.
