M. Jamaâ BAIDA

Director of the Archives of Morocco

M. Jamaâ BAIDA is director of the Archives of Morocco since their creation in 2011. In addition, as a historian, he is professor-researcher at Mohammed V University (Rabat) since 1982. The former secretary general of the Moroccan Association for Historical Research (AMRH), he is also member of the editorial board of “Hesperis-Tamuda” and former director of the journal “La Recherche Historique”. He is the author and co-author of over sixty articles concerning contemporary and current present history. He was awarded the ‘Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres’ insignia by the French Ambassador in 2017.
