Mgr Vito Rallo is Apostolic Nuncio in Rabat since 2015; He was ordained as priest in 1979, appointed archbishop in Alba, and has taken on various responsibilities, including Nunciature Attaché and Secretary in South Korea, Secretary in Senegal, Mali, Cap Verde, Guinea-Bissau and Mauritania (1990-1992), Mexico (1992-1995), Canada (1996-1999), Lebanon (1999-2000) and Spain (2000-2004). He was Holy See Special Envoy, Permanent Observer at the Council of Europe (2005-2007), Apostolic Nuncio in Burkina Faso and Niger (2007-2015). He is a Member of the Selinuntina Academy (Mazara del Vallo, 1992), Commander of the Royal Order of Isabella the Catholic (Spain, 2004); he was awarded the « Paul Harris » Medal in 2007, and is Officer of the National Order of Merit (France and Burkina Faso). In 2018, he was named Chaplain of the Grand-Cross ad honorem of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
